Description

LoveAct project aims to reduce risk of gender-based violence and violence against children by equipping educational staff, teenagers and parents with knowledge and competences on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (Sex-Ed), focusing on employing participatory and trauma-informed approaches.

In particular it aims to:

  • To produce, co-create and systemize comprehensive educational, informative and networking tools on Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) that are high-quality, evidence-based, user-friendly, accessible and appealing to multiple targets, including teenagers, parents and teachers;
  • To build the capacity of teachers and educational staff to address issues related to gender based violence (GBV), stereotypes and norms among teenagers through the delivery of Comprehensive Sexual Education programmes based on a positive-sexuality approach and responding to their needs;
  • To empower teenagers to build safe and healthy relationships far from gender based violence (GBV) and improve their well-being by providing them with age-appropriate Comprehensive Sexual Education that is high quality, evidence-based, intersectional, body positive, and trauma informed;
  • To increase awareness in the general public around the need for more and better comprehensive sexual education for teenagers and its potential to prevent gender based violence.
