Jollof Cultural Fest Brings the Flavours and Spirit of Africa to Vilnius
On 16 August 2026, Vilnius will host the inaugural Jollof Cultural Fest, a vibrant multicultural festival celebrating African culture through food, music, fashion, art, entrepreneurship, and community.
Taking place at the meadow near Baltas Tiltas Food Court from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the festival aims to create meaningful cultural exchange by bringing together Lithuanians, international residents, students, tourists, and African communities living in Lithuania.
At the heart of the festival is Jollof Rice, one of West Africa’s most iconic dishes, symbolizing unity, hospitality, and cultural identity. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience authentic African cuisine alongside music, fashion, traditional games, cultural exhibitions, handmade products, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
The festival also serves as a platform for African entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, and small businesses to showcase their products and services while encouraging dialogue and stronger connections between cultures.
Jollof Cultural Fest was established with a long-term vision of becoming an annual multicultural event that contributes to Vilnius’ diverse cultural landscape while promoting inclusion, understanding, and community engagement.
The inaugural edition has already received approval from the Vilnius City Municipality, with support from various community partners. Organizers continue to welcome collaborations with organizations, volunteers, media partners, and businesses that share the vision of celebrating diversity and building stronger communities through culture.
The event is open to everyone, and admission is free.
